I recently leased an apartment here, and it’s been such a wonderful experience so far! Everyone in the office has been incredible and super helpful, but I want to give a special shoutout to Starr for going above-and-beyond in making the leasing process smooth and easy and for having such a positive and kind-hearted attitude! The apartments themselves are stunning, spacious, and really at terrific prices for all that’s included in them, and lots of parking is available. It’s a beautiful area and a cozy community, yet still close enough to easily access the main roads. All in all, wow! I really look forward to my time here, and again I thank Starr and everyone at the office for such a warm-welcome!
I have lived at The Michael going on 3 years. The current team is amazing! Extremely helpful and attentive. They are always looking for ways to improve the grounds, property and community engagement.The management and maintenance team are always present and attentive which definitely makes a difference. I want to give kudos to Haley. She always goes above and beyond. Her attention to detail and customer service is exceptional! Thank you so much Haley for everything!
My partner's and I's experience with maintenance at The Michael has been nothing short of a nightmare.
The central issue revolves around the abysmally slow and unresponsive maintenance team when it comes to getting our A/C fixed, which has left me, my partner's, and my beloved pets suffering in the scorching heat of a Texas summer.
Maintenance and management have offered a portable HVAC; however, the unit fails to circulate sufficient air and experiences periodic malfunctions, including shutdowns and reboots.
The triple-digit temperatures that Texas is infamous for becomes a living hell when you're stuck in an apartment that feels more like an oven. The very purpose of having a maintenance team is to address concerns promptly, especially in extreme weather conditions. However, The Michael's management and maintenance team seems to have a different interpretation of urgency.
It's baffling how a state with such brutal summers can have a maintenance team that drags its feet when it comes to providing relief to its residents. This is a renter's violation.
We have decided not to renew our lease for another year. The prospect of enduring another summer in this apartment complex is simply unbearable.
Prospective tenants considering The Michael should approach with extreme caution. The allure of the amenities and location is quickly overshadowed by the reality of slow, unresponsive maintenance and the unbearable conditions during the Texas summer. Unless there is a dramatic change in the management's approach to tenant concerns, I cannot recommend this apartment complex to anyone seeking a safe, comfortable, and responsive living environment.
This community offers not only beautiful interiors and finishes but a tranquil and scenic exterior as well. The team is always kind and extremely helpful, not to meantion the maintenance team is highly attentive and we are tended to in a timely manner. Love coming home! Thank you TMAP!
There are back to back car break ins, not just into one car but multiple cars and on consecutive days(this is recurring for the past few months ). there are not even cameras or safety measures in place. Management doesn't seem bothered at all and just responds that "theft is everywhere". This really feels like a very unsafe place to live. Given the terrible and unsafe condition here, when we requested for a lease termination they want you to pay the 2 months termination fee(yes its in the contract when we signed the lease, but you also assured for a safe place). what is more frustrating is the way the respond/manage and handle the situation. I would request for anyone to think twice before leasing here.

Communication has seemed to have taken a downturn over my time here. I never seem to get a follow up response on questions unless I contact them directly. Also FYI for anyone moving in, their (The Michael’s) pet policy fee is $300/pet. The ‘pet policy fee min:$300’ statement on their website is misleading.

My score for this place has gone down, they been redoing the parking lots around the area and posted a schedule for it, however these schedule provided is not correct and they have not updated it. I haven't seen any information about why the schedule is incorrect. Secondly when it comes to valet trash rules are incredibly inconsistent. Apparently we need to stick the trash outside in the trash cans even though the apartments are set up so the trash gets placed in a space that's too small for the can to be constantly removed? They complain about leaking trash bags causing stains on the concrete but then say they refuse to pick them up? So I guess it's not the stains they care about. Be prepared to leave your trashcan out for a few days though as they change trash providers at least once every few months.
We toured this property back in summer and the unit we wanted wasn’t available. Still, the finishes of the apartments are beautiful and staff was so friendly. We moved just across the street as we loved the area. It’s quite and feels safe.
*UPDATED REVIEW* The Michael has slowly but surely been declining.
The workout facility machines are either broken or not functioning and this has been the case from January 2023- January 2024. Since I moved in January 2023, The Michael has been saying in writing and in person the machines will be repaired or replaced "next week," or "by next month latest." Still nothing. We are charged $15/mo amenity fees for amenities we cannot use such as the non operational gym and pool which was out of service for roughly 8 months, well into the Spring and Summer months of 2023. No reimbursement on amenities given to tenants despite my asking about this. The restrooms by the pool have serious issues with toilets having trouble flushing, no toilet paper, no soap or paper towels ever. (This is supposed to be part of the "amenities.")
I don't feel heard or cared for anymore with the new management. They also no longer work with folks who are having financial challenges (not applicable to myself, but applicable to friends that live in this complex.)**** If you are ever struggling or need to be worked with in terms of paying rent, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. *****You would think there would be Southern hospitality here in Texas. But not with this new management.
Lastly, they recently re painted the pavement throughout the facility and sent out an incorrect map of which areas would be paved first. They towed my and my husband's vehicles a month ago and still have not responded to my email regarding the fee and if the facility can cover this since it only happened due to their negligence. They don't respond to emails and never have a correct answer- they said they will be fixing things by a certain day and then they aren't fixed. I am very disappointed. We pay a lot of money to live here- it is supposed to be a luxury apartment complex and a safe community.
My biggest issue is ******CARS ARE BROKEN INTO EVERY SINGLE WEEK******. Items are stolen from our cars and garages. Tenants have been asking TMAP in person & in writing to please, please install cameras throughout the complex to deter thieves and help us feel safe (tenants have been asking this to be done for YEARS). When I moved in one year ago the ongoing theft was a big issue and TMAP still has NOT installed cameras. I am not sure where our money is going, if literally nothing is done to improve the facilities or at least help tenants and families FEEL SAFE. Glass is literally left all over the grounds which is hazardous for people/pets and can also POP TIRES. I have asked them to please clean up the glass from shattered car windows and yet no one ever does. As I have tried seeking help for the aforementioned issues with literally no response, my only option to try and get them to do something is by posting this review.
I have really tried giving them time to respond, giving them the benefit of the doubt, everything....At this point it's just Too Much. If you don't maintain the property and treat customers well, don't be surprised if your business ends up folding.
